Pool Maintenance Package
Cost effective pool chemical maintenance and cleaning.
Test water for chlorine, pH, and Total Alkalinity; adjust weekly with proper chemicals*
Maintain proper water balance (specialty chemicals are extra*)
Turn on system & evaluate, make service/repair recommendations if needed
Pump and skimmer baskets checked and emptied
Surface skimmed each visit
Chlorinators or salt cells checked (Cleaning of salt cells will be an additional charge)
Brush the walls, steps, ladders, and ledges if necessary
Vacuum pool with Dutch Barn equipment as necessary for up to 30 minutes per visit
Water chemistry recorded and reported via email or written maintenance checklist
Premier Maintenance Package
Worry-free, just swim and enjoy your pool! We will come twice a week to perform chemical maintenance and cleaning.

* Pricing is the Base Cost and is subject to an increase depending on volume of water, size/design of pool, surrounding landscape, and geographical location. The appropriate chemicals are used to maintain pools serviced by Dutch Barn Pools (we never use client chemicals, so we can guarantee the results of our work). All specialty items such as Algaecides, Clarifiers, etc. are not included and an additional charge if necessary.
Pool Opening
Get your pool opened by the professionals! Our certified pool operators will inspect and clean your pool and start up the equipment. Includes initial dose of shock and algaecide.
Visually check pool structure for damage or unsafe conditions, pool equipment and pipes for leaks.
Remove all winterizing plugs and gizmos from pool suction and return lines inside the pool.
Assemble all pump, filter, heater, chlorinator/salt cell (if available) lines to respective fittings.
Check the condition and pressure of the sand filter, cartridge or D.E. elements. Backwash and clean cartridge or D.E. elements and/or replace if necessary (extra charges will apply if DE elements or cartridge replacements are required).
Install ladders and handrails, safety float lines, Basketball nets, etc.. (if applicable).
Inspect the pool electrical panel and control system.
Start up the system, check for proper water circulation (water flow).
Check if all pool equipment (pumps, salt generator, heater, heat pump) are operating properly.
On-site water analysis of Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Stabilizer (CYA), salt level (as necessary).
Add initial dose of chlorine and algaecide.
Safety cover removal (pool and/or spa), clean up and storage in a location indicated by the owner is an additional $100.
Water feature lines outside of the pool will be an additional charge.

Pool Closing
Get your pool closed by the professionals! Our certified pool operators will winterize your pool.
Visually check structural pool for damage or unsafe conditions, pool equipment and pipes for leaks.
Shut down filtration, remove drain plugs on equipment pad, disable timers and automated systems.
Blow all water out of plumbing lines
Add pool antifreeze to skimmer(s) as necessary
Install winterizing plugs and gizmos in pool suction and return lines inside the pool.
Remove ladders and handrails, safety float lines (if available).
Shut off gas valves for the pool heater.
Safety cover removal (pool and/or spa), clean up and storage in a location indicated by the owner is an additional $100.
Water feature lines outside of the pool will be an additional charge.
Clean Salt Cell will be an additional cost.

Add Ons:
Keeping your filter clean is important for the performance of your filter. For most pools, the filter will require a thorough cleaning 2 to 3 times per season depending on factors such as pool size, filter size, bather load, nearby landscaping, etc. Filter cleaning can be time-consuming and messy so we offer the following filter-cleaning services:
Cartridge Filter Cleaning:
Suggested 2-3 times per season.
Inspect, rinse and clean filter cartridges
DE Filter Cleaning Winter cartridge filter cleaning and storage:
Complete dismantling, thorough cleaning, and inspection of the grids
Inspect and lubricate the o-ring before reassembling, recharge DE filter
Winter cartridge filter cleaning and storage:
Dutch Barn will take your filters for the winter months. Chemically treat and store your filters for the winter and bring them back in the spring when opening back up.
Auto Cover Cleaning:
Pressure wash cover, clean with specialty cleaner and protectant.
Clean auto cover pump, remove debris & wash out auto cover housing.
Auto Cover Maintenance:
Complete inspection of the cover and operation, adjusting the cover as needed.
All pulleys and fittings are lubricated.
Clean out dirt from tracks & loose screws tightened as needed.
Mesh cover installation:
Installation of the customer’s winter mesh cover at the time of closing
Mesh Cover Removal:
Removal of the winter mesh cover at the time of the pool opening
Salt Cell Cleaning:
Removal and acid cleaning of customer’s salt cell
Pool School Refresher:
Teaching the homeowner how to operate their system. Whether you need a refresher or bought an existing home with a pool
